TV personality Lara Spencer braved the rain at the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 17, 2010 in Beverly Hills, California. Lara looked fresh and fabulous in classic white strapless dress. "The Insider" host added splash of color to her ensemble with turquoise jewelry and fuchsia clutch.

World standard provider for colors Pantone announced that Turquoise (Pantone 15-5519) will be the official color of year 2010. Turquoise is "believed to be a protective talisman, a color of deep compassion and healing, and a color of faith and truth" - say experts. In the press-release by Pantone dedicated to the occasion we read: "In fashion, Turquoise makes a statement that can look elegant and dressy in fine silk and gemstones, or casual and fun in cotton and athletic apparel. Because of its versatility, Turquoise is a great accent color in jewelry, purses, shoes, hair accessories and even nail polish for women, and ties, shirts and sportswear for men."

While I would love to have this amazing halter dress in my closet, I must admit it's totally over my budget... So as usual I went to polyvore and recreated more affordable version.

To create this look I paired a black top with a white skirt and I think it really worked. When I first looked at Emma's pictures I thought it was a top and a skirt, not a dress. Judith Leiber Crystal-embellished animal-print clutch was entirely my idea, I couldn't find any pictures of her with a bag, well may be she didn't carry a bag at all:) I think zebra print adds interest and complements her outfit.

So here are two sets that I made on Polyvore that were inspired by her look, I do think she would look much better in the dresses that I used in my sets but what you gonna do?! I'm not her stylist:)

Patterns are great and you shouldn't be afraid to wear them. They add lot of interest and personality to the outfit. Another way to add patterns to your outfit is of course using pattern handbags and shoes. You can dress up the plainest outfit with the colorful pattern handbag or shoes and turn it into a very stylish and chick look. Some of my favorite patterns are stripes and leopard...
